Funday School
Then the little children were being brought to him in order that he might put his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs". And he laid his hands on them and blessed them.
~Matthew 19:13-15
Schedule
Funday School is held two days each week (Tuesday and Thursday) during the school year from 8:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. Funday School follows the holiday schedule as published in the Waxahachie I.S.D. calendar. A special summer session is held during the month of July for children.
Purpose
Funday School is a ministry of First United Methodist Church to the parents of young children in our community. Pre-School children are offered the opportunity to spend time with children their own age for learning and social development. The children learn in a loving Christian atmosphere while parents can feel secure knowing their child is in an enriching environment.
Curriculum
Our teachings and lessons are from a non-denominational Christian perspective. The daily schedule includes Bible stories, songs, and daily prayer. Play, art, music, exercise, and especially love are crucial ingredients in the program.
Fees
Please call the Funday School Office for a current schedule of costs and the availability of space.
