FUMC Waxahachie has gatherings every two months. A "gathering" is when people who have been to Emmaus, their friends or relatives, and those who are interested in going to Emmaus get together for food, worship, and a "Fourth Day" talk. (The Fourth Day is all the rest of your life after having been on an Emmaus weekend). Gatherings can be held by different levels of organization such as at the conference, district, or church level. At this gathering on 2/19/06, Chuck Smith was our fourth day speaker (see right). A fourth day speaker usually talks about his or her spiritual walk after the Emmaus weekend.
