  • The Moms on the Grow prayer group will be starting up again soon! We are a group of moms who meet once a week to pray for our children and all of the obstacles they face. We also enjoy sharing joys and supporting one another in our journey we call parenting. We would love to have you join us! We will be meeting in the Parlor from 9-10 a.m. each Monday morning beginning September 11th. We will be using the book, "The Power of a Praying Parent" as our guide this year. Nursery will be provided. Contact the church office to sign-up.
  • The United Methodist Women's Circle Our regular UMW Circle meeting is September 21st, at 10:30 a.m., in Rm 122. The District Fall Meeting is September 23rd, at FUMC in Ferris. We encourage anyone who would like to attend to come and join us. New members welcome!
  • Young Adult Sunday School Class: This new class will begin September 10th and will meet in Room 223. The class will be offered at two time slots, 9:45 a.m. & 10:45 a.m. If you are a young adult who does not have a Sunday School class yet, please consider this opportunity which is for both single and married young couples.
  • Stephen Ministries: There will be an informational seminar on Saturday, September 16th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Banquet Hall. To learn more about Stephen Ministries, check out their web site at www.stephensministry.com.
  • Dinners for 8: If you pass someone in the hallway and wonder who they are, sign up for Dinners for 8. You will have the opportunity to get to know those who attend other Sunday School classes and other church services. We hope everyone will sign up!
  • The second annual Dinah Weable Breast Cancer Survivor Event "Pink Ribbon Luncheon" honoring breast cancer survivors will be held October 14, 2006, in the Banquet Hall of FUMC. This event is for all breast cancer survivors throughout the area, and we urge you to attend. Bring a friend who is also a survivor and enjoy the food and fellowship planned for you.
  • Ozark Country Christmas in Branson: A trip is planned to Branson by motor coach from December 4-7, 2006. Scheduled shows are Andy Williams, Yakov Smirnoff, Jim Stafford, Shoji Tabuchi and the entertainment at the Grace Palace will be announced at a later date. The cost is $589 (double) or $635 (single). Included are hotel accommodations, baggage handling, admissions to five shows, transportation via deluxe motor coach, all taxes and gratuities and meals as per itinerary. Deposit of $100 per person is due with reservation. Final payment is due by Oct. 13. If you have questions, call or come by the church office to sign up.
  • New Member Classes - or - Confirmation Class for Adults - 4 weeks of 1-hour classes or 4 hours of class in 1 week (or any combination thereof) to learn about the United Methodist Church and how it works, what we profess to believe, and the particulars of this congregation and its ministries. Designed for new members, recent new members, or anyone who wants to know more about our church. Classes will be taught by lay and clergy leaders.
