Worship Services

First United Methodist Church offers three different worship services: 8:30, 9:45, and 10:45am. All of these services are designed to help participants glorify God and experience the presence of Christ as real and relevant to their lives. Rev. Jerry P. Galloway delivers the same message at all three services. Child care is available in the nursery.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of each month at all of our services.

Sunday School

Sunday School is available for  adults, youth and children at 9:45 and 10:45 AM in the main building and in the Family Life Center.

Location

First United Methodist Church is located at 505 W. Marvin in Waxahachie (the Crape Myrtle capital of Texas). It is easy to access by going North, just two blocks from Hwy 77 (business). Directions and maps are available for your convenience.

Office Hours

Monday-Thursday, 8:00am - 5pm (Mon – Fri). Voice mail is checked regularly on weekends by the Pastor on call.

Parking

Parking is available on either of the church's two parking lots. Additional parking is also available behind the Family Life Center.

Attire

We certainly have no dress code, but we thought it might make you more comfortable to know that most of our congregation chooses to dress in casual or business casual attire on Sunday mornings. Come, just as you are. It will be an honor to have you as our guest.

How to Join

If you are looking for a church home, please know that there is a place for you at First United Methodist Church and that we extend to you a warm invitation to become part of our family. Anyone interested in becoming a member is invited to participate in our  New Member Classes held twice a year. New Member forms are available for you to download and bring forward with you to the altar on Sunday mornings or to give (in advance if possible) to our pastor or church secretary.
